Bean Planting Day

                                                                   

On Monday we went out to the garden and planted our beans that we had germinated. First we dug a hole and put the bean in it and covered it back up. After we watered it. It took a month for the seeds to grow, after 3 weeks we put them in little cardboard containers. Yesterday we put the cardboard container in the dirt and put a stick thing next to them so the beans could grow up and not sideways. How big do you think they're going to grow? My bean's name is Sam.

One day I was going to class as normal chatting to my friends and I saw  everyone bunched up in a corner it smelt like fresh air and it felt weird I asked what was going on they pointed over at the back of the classroom there were plants everywhere I screamed and ran home.The next day I came back to school the plants had  spread ed more this time. I asked if I Could cut them down. They said yes one hour later I cut down every plant in the classroom down. The next day I came to school and there were more plants than I have ever seen so I put weed killer on them  today. The next day it was all gone. 2 months later it all came back we called the weed killers they came straight away 1 hour later they put 100 litres on each plant 1 more hour later they all died.The next day they came back this time I left them alone and they grew smaller And smaller from that day on I took care of plants always.

This is my scratch art. To do this i coloured a piece of paper using pastels. Then I painted over the middle with black paint. After that i scratched it with a toothpick.

Seed

We dissected the seeds yesterday. We used pine nuts, corn seed, lima beans, pinto beans. Chickpeas. The most interesting thing me and Rocky  learned that the embryo grows inside the seed. It was soaked for 24 hours. In the seed we found [cotyledon] food supply embryos and the seed coat. We had to take the seed coat off very carefully. We had heaps of fun We Sorted the parts of the seed the first thing we did was carefully split the seed in half the 2nd thing we had to do is we had to put the food supply on the 2nd slot on paper the 3rd thing we had to do was find the embryo, it was a little plant growing inside the seed.

My Mind

My garden grows when i'm happy. Weeds grow when I'm sad. When I'm sad and happy my garden grows weeds and flowers. When I'm happy the weeds die and I have lots of great ideas. I am growing my imagination.

100 words

One night an old man and a young boy were walking in the forest hunting for a deer. They found the deer it ran away so they chased it. It got away. The man and the boy found a shelter to sleep in. In the shelter they made a fire to keep them warm and to cook their canned food.in the morning they saw an animal run past them but it was so fast they didn't see what the animal was. They gave up and went home and got fish and chips instead. They were very very very yummy.
